Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use this website.

These terms govern your use of the website only. They do not govern any advisory engagement you enter into with us. If we agree to act for you, a separate letter of engagement will set out the terms of that work, and those terms will take precedence over anything on this website.

1. About us

InnoClaim Limited is an R&D tax credit advisory firm. We help companies identify, prepare, and submit research and development tax relief claims under the current schemes, the merged R&D Expenditure Credit and Enhanced R&D Intensive Support.

The firm is led by a chartered principal, Matthew Jones, who is a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA, CIOT). Every claim we prepare is a professional judgement made by a chartered adviser. We use technology to make that work more efficient and our fees more accessible, but the professional decisions are made by people, not software.

2. Use of the website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • use the website in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or our systems;
  • disrupt or interfere with the security or performance of the site; or
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation when communicating with us.

We reserve the right to restrict access to, or block, any user who breaches these terms.

3. Information on this website is not advice

The content on this website is provided for general information only. It does not constitute professional, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and you should not rely on it as such. R&D tax relief depends closely on the facts of each case and on legislation and HMRC guidance that change over time.

While we take care to keep the information accurate and current, we give no warranty that it is complete, accurate, or up to date, and we accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on it. If you want advice tailored to your circumstances, please contact us so we can consider whether we are able to act for you.

4. How we use technology, and who makes the decisions

We use software, including artificial intelligence tools, to support the preparation and analysis of R&D claims: for example, to organise information, transcribe interviews, and draft supporting material. This is what lets us offer a fixed, accessible fee.

Technology does not decide your claim. Every output is reviewed by a suitably qualified person, and every professional judgement is made by our chartered adviser, who takes responsibility for the work. We do not make claim decisions by solely automated means. Where we describe our tools on this website or in client documents, we describe them in general terms; the specific tools we use are our own intellectual property. A named list of the sub-processors that may handle personal data is available on request.

5. Professional standing and regulation

Matthew Jones is regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) as a Chartered Accountant and by the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) as a Chartered Tax Adviser. The firm is supervised for anti-money-laundering purposes by the ICAEW and is registered with HMRC as a tax adviser.

If you engage us and are unhappy with our service, our letter of engagement sets out how to raise a complaint, including any right to refer the matter to the relevant professional body.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, is the property of InnoClaim Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the website without our express written permission. You may download or print materials for your own personal or internal business use only, provided the content is not modified.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience. These are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy or data practices. Visiting those sites is at your own risk, and we encourage you to read their terms and privacy notices.

8. Privacy and cookies

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect, use, and protect personal data, and how we use cookies. Non-essential cookies that require consent are set only where you have given it, in line with our Cookie Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, InnoClaim Limited will not be liable for:

  • any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss;
  • any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities; or
  • errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in website content.

Your use of the website is at your own risk. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

Any liability we owe in connection with an advisory engagement is governed by the letter of engagement for that work, not by these website terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and they take effect when posted. Your continued use of the website after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.

11. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
