The Firm

About InnoClaim

InnoClaim exists because R&D tax advice earned itself a reputation problem, and the fix is not better marketing. It is a firm built the other way up: chartered, fixed-fee, honest about who does not qualify, and using AI where it makes claims more accurate rather than merely faster. This page says who we are and how we work, in the same plain terms as the rest of the site.

Why this firm exists

The R&D advice market grew fast on contingent fees and confident promises, and ended where that leads. HMRC measured billions in error and fraud. Honest claimants inherited the scrutiny, and a compliance regime was built to screen everyone. We built InnoClaim for the market that comes after that. It is for companies that want the relief they are entitled to, prepared to the standard the regime now demands, at a price that does not reward anyone for inflating it.

How we work

Chartered, with chartered review. InnoClaim is a firm of Chartered Tax Advisers, supervised by the ICAEW for anti-money-laundering and registered with HMRC as a tax adviser; every claim is reviewed by a chartered tax adviser before filing. The professional rules that bind us, on integrity, on fees, on what we may claim on your behalf, are a feature of the service, not small print.

Fixed fees, agreed first. The fee is settled before the work starts, set by the complexity of your claim rather than its size, and never rises with the credit, so the advice on what qualifies has no financial thumb on the scale. What the fee covers, and what sits outside it, is set out plainly on services and fees.

AI-first, human-accountable. We use AI throughout preparation: structuring technical narratives against the statutory tests, checking cost categories and apportionments, and running more consistency checks per claim than manual processes manage. Every judgement that matters is made and owned by a human professional. The technology is why the fees hold; the review is why the claims do.

Honest at the front door. The first conversation is free and sometimes ends with “there is no claim here”. That outcome is on the website in plain sight, when you do not qualify, because a firm that cannot say no is not giving advice, it is processing sales.

What we deliberately are not

We are not a volume mill: no average-claim bait, no sector promises, no pressure to sign. And we are not anonymous: every claim we prepare carries our name as agent on the Additional Information Form, which is exactly how the reformed regime is supposed to work.

Frequently asked questions

Who actually prepares and reviews claims?

The InnoClaim team prepares them, with AI-assisted analysis throughout, and every claim is reviewed by a chartered tax adviser before anything is filed. Attribution here is deliberately at firm level: you are engaging a regulated firm and its process, not a personality.

What does "AI-first" actually mean for our claim?

Structured, tool-assisted analysis of your projects and costs against the statutory tests, with more checks run per claim than manual preparation allows, always reviewed by a human professional who is accountable for the judgement. It is why we can hold fixed fees; it is never a substitute for the chartered review.

Why should we trust the honesty positioning?

Do not trust it as a slogan; test it. Read the when-you-do-not-qualify page, ask us the awkward questions on the choosing-an-adviser page, and note the fee model has no percentage incentive anywhere in it. The structure is the promise.

Are you connected to other advisory firms?

InnoClaim is its own firm, with its own team, its own process and its own name on every claim it files. Everything on this site describes how this firm works, and the first conversation is the quickest way to test that against what your company needs.
